The second issue of Wrapped in Plastic magazine hit the newsstands and comic book shops in December of 1992. It features a dramatic cover of Agent Cooper drawn by Co-Editor Craig Miller. The magazine seems to be taking shape of what it is about to become in the future. After getting a good response from fans writing in Craig Miller and John Thorne knew there was a demand for their magazine. Twin Peaks fans are dedicated and this was the best source for information at that time. Craig and John in this issue had a great article discussing the critics response to Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and an interview Joe Bob Briggs the drive in movie critic and author of many books. The interview was one of those features of Wrapped in Plastic the readers would love to read and when you looked forward to the next issue you would wonder
who would be the next interview.
This issue features the all important character chart that shows the interconnected world of Twin Peaks, a must for any fan new and old! The magazine checklist was brought back for a part two in this issue, this shows you how popular the show was at it's peak. They were on cover after cover around the world, many issues are still sought after to this day. Good article in this issue called the Twin Peaks Library covers all the books published at that time, Laura Palmer's diary, Agent Cooper' autobiography and a few more such as the Twin Peaks access guide. The issue ends with the famous "The World Spins" article, this one mentions about the possibility of the uncut Fire Walk With Me coming out on Laserdisc. We still are waiting for that footage, hopefully one day we will see that version.Watch your favourite episode, enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cherry pie til the next Twin Peaks Thursday blog.

Wrapped in Plastic Issue 1
First thing that struck me about it was the great cover of Sheryl Lee as Laura Palmer that Craig Miller drew. This is a good start, I flipped through the pages and saw all this great info about Twin Peaks including a timeline of events that took place through the series, very handy! There was some great articles and a magazine checklist, a must to get that collection started I thought. This was a time before the internet so any Peaks information was great. There was even discussion about Fire Walk With Me that had just opened to mixed reviews and the first World Spins article. Who knew a few years later I would be contributing to this great magazine. Over the next while I'll be looking back at Wrapped in Plastic and discussing that famous town of Twin Peaks, Washington Population 51,201.

The World Spins - Again!
Wrapped in Plastic Magazine was a Twin Peaks and David Lynch publication that was published by Craig Miller and John Thorne from 1992-2005. The magazine had a run of 75 issues discussing everything Lynch related. It was a well received magazine around the world with many readers writing in and could be found in major retailers and the finest comic shops. It was the best source for Twin Peaks information, Craig and John were even featured in the extras on one of the early DVD's of the series. Their passion for Twin Peaks and other pop culture could not be denied as you would read their words on the page. Their work will live on with anyone who comes across a copy of Wrapped in Plastic.
They used to have a section called "The World Spins" so once more it spins. I would like to dedicate the relaunch of my blog to Craig Miller who passed away last November. I never met Craig in person, but had some great conversations on the phone with him. I used to send him photos and reports and he even made me the Canadian Correspondent. He had a friendly way about him, you felt you had known him for years. For you Craig, I'll write some more about that town of Twin Peaks.
